Dr. Beenish Rashid (she/her/hers)

Dr. Rashid earned her doctorate degree in School Psychology from the Philadelphia College of
Osteopathic Medicine. Additionally, she has a master’s in school psychology and a master’s in
interdisciplinary health sciences.

 

Dr. Rashid is a Pennsylvania Certified School Psychologist and a Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
 

Dr. Rashid has experience working in schools, intermediate units, partial hospitalization, and
private practice, where she worked with various age ranges and presenting symptoms. Her
primary therapeutic approach is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), as she has received
extensive training in this area. However, Dr. Rashid is skilled at incorporating a variety of other
therapeutic approaches, such as DBT, ACT, and play therapy, as she believes that therapy
approaches should be aligned with the individual’s goals and symptoms.

She uses Evidenced-based approaches to treat anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, personality disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism SpectrumDisorder (ASD), and other developmental disorders. Dr. Rashid also has experience providing parent consultation to parents and guardians seeking support for their children who present with emotional and behavioral challenges.In addition, Dr. Rashid has extensive training in comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, differential diagnosis evaluations, autism, and ADHD/executive functioning evaluations. She believes in providing assessments that highlight an individual’s strengths and needs.
