Dr. Rutvi Kapadia (she/her/hers)
Dr. Rutvi Kapadia, Psy.D., LPC is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her doctoral degree from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA with a concentration in Psychological Evaluation. Dr. Kapadia completed her pre-doctoral internship at APA Accredited Temple University’s Tuttleman Counseling Services and her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of the Sciences Student Health and Counseling Center. In addition, Dr. Kapadia holds a Master’s Degree in Psychological Counseling from Marymount University in Arlington, VA.
Dr. Kapadia has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient hospitals, school settings, university counseling centers, medical facilities, and outpatient practices. She has experience working with individuals of all ages (children, adolescents, adults and couples) and who are facing an array of clinical concerns including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, trauma, relational concerns, grief and loss, and life transitions. Dr. Kapadia has experience in completing psychological evaluations for personality, academic, IQ, and weight loss surgery. She has also offered expert witness testimony in her work with victims of trauma. Dr. Kapadia works from an integrative perspective, utilizing various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Interpersonal/Relational Therapy to meet the needs of her clients so they reach their full potential. The goal of Dr. Kapadia’s work is to create a safe and collaborative environment to help individuals increase awareness, build strength, and become more accepting of their thoughts, emotions, and ultimately themselves.
